Marsha's Lacy Tee
Light and airy mesh lace adds a delicate border and bodice to this summer tee.
Marsha's Lacy Tee can be knit in cotton, linen, rayon, bamboo or any combination for a cool summer top.
When the custom pattern is generated, you, the knitter, can decide the length of the sweater and the length of the lace panel The longer length is slimming and fashionable over slender or wide-legged pants.
Marsha's Lacy Tee is knit from the hem to the underarm in the round. The sleeves are knit separately, also in the round. A simple 6 stitch repeat lace provides a light border to the hem of the sleeve and the body.
The original design features a tunic length to wear over leggings. Shaping includes decreases to waist and increases to the underarm. This shaping is calculated separately in front and in back to accommodate your unique shape. You can also specify the amount of ease to include; this will be added to your body measurments.
When you generate your custom pattern, you can decide how long you want to make the sweater using the Lower edge to underarm measurement.
Sleeves are knit straight from cast-on to the underarm, and hover just above the elbow. You will enter the amount of ease you prefer for the sleeve. You can also determine the length of the sleeve with the Sleeve length measurement. Note, however, that the instructions will not include shaping, so a longer sleeve will be knit straight up from the cast-on.
Marsha's Lacy Tee was knit in a DK weight bamboo blend, creating a soft, drapey garment.
Yarn Yardage Requirements
While we would like to offer a simple yarn estimate in our custom patterns, however, the amount of yarn you will need will depend on choices you make like whether to make the garment a cropped or tunic length. We've anticipated that, and we have created charts that allow you to estimate yarn needed based on your choice of weight as well as length. Please refer to our yarn estimation charts and read the article for helpful hints on how to estimate the amount of yarn you will need.
