Update 2/26/21
This major update comes with a rebrand and is also packed with new, streamlined functionality designed to help users to more easily generate custom patterns and intuitively navigate the app and understand its features.
Overview of improvements to user experience
- Straightforward custom pattern generation: Where before users generated patterns from the Project Library’s ‘Create Project’ button, users can now generate patterns in two ways: [1] KnitFit™ Pattern Generator : Go directly to the pattern generator using the main menu, and use the dropdown to select the KnitFit™ Custom Pattern you would like to generate. [2] Project Library: Generate a KnitFit™ Custom Pattern from your Project Library by clicking on the menu on the Project Card under ‘New’. Click on the option to Generate pattern.
- Streamlined navigation: The main menu (top left) and the profile menu (top right) have been cleaned up to include only the most utilized pages of the app to help new users orient themselves to basic functionalities.
Rebranding
- The app name: The KnitFit app is now knitfitco, with KnitFit Pattern Generator. You can still generate custom patterns, and now it will be easier than ever to do so.
- The app launcher icon: The button you click to open the app on your mobile device will look a little different. We’re using the same colors and a similar logo, but you will see the knitfitco logo instead of the KnitFit logo.
- My profile becomes Studio: With the change to knitfitco, your profile will now be found under Studio. Click on your user name or profile pic to reach your Studio.
Navigation
- Streamlined main menu: The top left “hamburger” menu has been paired down to include only the most used pages of the app: Dashboard, Measurements, KnitFit™ Pattern Generator, Connect, and Shop.
- Simplified profile menu: The top right menu (shown upon clicking on user name) contains a few key navigation points now: Studio, Account, Subscription, Send us feedback, and Logout.
